The Zoo is celebrating their love of the Asian elephants on August 22nd at the National Zoological Park. The event shows visitors how the elephants are cared for and what a typical day in the life of one of these enormous animals is like. You can also watch as the elephants are bathed, weighed, and trained to hold still for physical exams, weighing, and x-rays.
