National Cherry Blossom Festival

(03/28/2009 - 04/12/2009)
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is an annually held two week event that was inspired by the 1912 gift of the cherry blossom trees that represent a friendship between the United States and Japan. It is also a beautiful celebration of springtime in the nation’s capital and showcasing spring blossoms and Japanese cultural traditions throughout the city. The actual parade of the National Cherry Blossom Festival will take place on April 4th. Be sure to check this fun filled and educational event perfect for the entire family.
