The Folger Shakespeare Library will host an amazing musical performance featuring Italian and Chinese works from 1610. They will include songs, compositions and instrumental music by Francesca Caccini (the first woman to compose an opera), Sigismundo d’India, Biagio Marini, and others, along with Chinese music for pipa, a type of Chinese lute.
